- PRESIDENT/TREASURER - Cheryl King
- SECRETARY/BOARD MEMBER - Scott King
Cheryl and her husband, Scott, have been actively involved with Greyhounds since adopting their first, Smoo's Miss Polly,
in 1992. Since that time, well over 1,000 Greyhounds have been fostered by the Kings passing their their hearts and home on their way to
their "forever" homes. Their decision to begin H.O.T., along with the other founding members, was based on their desire to go
above and beyond just adopting Greyhounds into approved, loving homes. They also strive to provide the necessary follow-up and after-care
which they feel is an essential part of Greyhound adoption. Cheryl was selected as the inaugural Greyhound
Adoption Person of the Year by the American Greyhound Track Owners AssociatIon (AGTOA) in 2007 because of her 24-hour a day
commitment and continuing dedication to the Greyhounds. Cheryl is also proud that H.O.T. works with
other Greyhound adoption groups around the country to help Greyhounds in need when requested or needed.
- VICE PRESIDENT - Elizabeth Cygan
Elizabeth and her family adopted their first Greyhound, Splatter, in the summer of 2002. Shortly after that, they
joined H.O.T.'s efforts because of the level of commitment, care and compassion which H.O.T. members showed for their Greyhounds. They
became active foster parents, and Elizabeth now lends a hand in all aspects of H.O.T. Elizabeth continues to educate herself about the
breed and all aspects of adoption and the racing industry. Along with Splatter, Elizabeth and her family have adopted Brit, who crossed
the Rainbow Bridge in 2008, Chihuahua, who crossed in 2009, and their newest Greyhound, Hottie Dottie! Elizabeth
is very adept at training Greyhounds to do the basic obedience commands and willingly shares that information with other Greyhound
families.
- FOSTER COORDINATOR - Kerrie King
Kerrie brings to H.O.T. over 15 years of experience in working with Greyhounds exclusively.
She has a keen ability to match up a Greyhound with a foster family to help make the foster experience a positive
one for all involved! Having lost two Greyhounds to osteo and another to a rare blood disease. Her Greyhound Sebastian also crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2010.
Kerrie currently is owned by three Greyhounds, Becky, Chubby, and Conor.
- SHOW 'N TAIL COORDINATOR: - Linda Knight

where Show 'n Tails are being held, making sure each one has sufficient representation attending. Linda is always willing to
jump in and assist in any capacity when needed. Linda also has the innate ability to network for the best benefit of all
Greyhounds.
- SOCIAL ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR: - Bonnie Bole
Bonnie and her late husband, Tom, adopted their first Greyhound, Andy, in 2003. Shortly thereafter, they decided Andy
needed a companion and they adopted Lark. After that came three “failed attempts” at fostering, resulting in the adoption of Shaq, Smiley and Blue.
Bonnie and Tom have enjoyed being involved with the HOT family, and have hosted the HOT summer meetings/pool parties at their home.
Since Tom’s recent passing, Bonnie is now ready to get more involved in the group and is ready to take on the role of Social Activities Coordinator.
She will be planning the monthly ladies’ lunches and occasional evening gatherings for those ladies who cannot attend the lunches.

- H.O.T. HOME VISIT COORDINATORS - Joan and Dave Long
Dave and Joan Long have been Greyhound parents since 2003. They are both very helpful during the
Show 'n Tails, knowledgeable in both handling foster Greyhounds and interviewing prospective adoptive families. Dave and Joan's
Greybabies, Jo-Jo, Nugget, Tucker and Michael help with acclimating new Greyhounds to home life. They specialize in those
"high prey" Greyhounds which are good only with other large dogs. H.O.T. is fortunate to have Joan scheduling and
coordinating home visits between H.O.T. adopters and prospective H.O.T. Hounds. Dave is the "man-in-charge" when it
comes to Greyhound supplies. Joan and Dave are both ready and willing to help in any capacity needed.
