  • PRESIDENT/TREASURER - Cheryl King
  • SECRETARY/BOARD MEMBER - Scott King
  • Cheryl and her husband, Scott, have been actively involved with Greyhounds since adopting their first, Smoo's Miss Polly, in 1992. Since that time, well over 1,000 Greyhounds have been fostered by the Kings passing their their hearts and home on their way to their "forever" homes. Their decision to begin H.O.T., along with the other founding members, was based on their desire to go above and beyond just adopting Greyhounds into approved, loving homes. They also strive to provide the necessary follow-up and after-care which they feel is an essential part of Greyhound adoption. Cheryl was selected as the inaugural Greyhound Adoption Person of the Year by the American Greyhound Track Owners AssociatIon (AGTOA) in 2007 because of her 24-hour a day commitment and continuing dedication to the Greyhounds. Cheryl is also proud that H.O.T. works with other Greyhound adoption groups around the country to help with Greyhounds when requested.
